Therapy for Life Transitions

Finding your center during times of change.

Sometimes life changes unexpectedly. Other times we gradually recognize that the life we have built no longer feels quite right. In either case, it can be difficult to know what you want or where to go next. Change also brings up a spectrum of emotions and thoughts that can be hard to navigate alone.

You might be experiencing:

  • Divorce, separation, or changing relationship dynamics

  • A career change, relocation, or shifts in family roles

  • Feeling stuck, unmotivated, or uncertain about your direction

  • Questions about purpose, identity, or meaning

  • Difficulty making decisions or trusting your own judgment

  • Feeling torn between your own desires and the expectations of others

While transitions can be disorienting, they can also be an opportunity for deeper self-understanding and growth.

We might work on:

  • Clarifying your values, your needs, and what purpose means to you

  • The beliefs and patterns that may be keeping you stuck

  • Distinguishing your own desires from outside expectations

  • Greater confidence in your decisions

  • Meeting uncertainty with more flexibility and self-compassion

  • Moving toward a life that feels meaningful and authentic to you

Our work gives you room to explore who you are, how your experiences have shaped you, and who you are becoming.

You do not need to know exactly where you are going to begin finding your way. If you are navigating a transition or questioning what comes next, I welcome you to scroll down to learn more about my approach or reach out to connect further.

Reconnecting with what matters to you

How We Might Work Together

  • Relational Therapy

We create a trusting, supportive relationship where you can think out loud and explore your options without pressure. Feeling heard and respected can help you reconnect with your own voice.

  • Psychodynamic Exploration

We explore how your history, relationships, and internalized expectations have shaped your sense of identity and direction, and work to separate your own desires from the beliefs you have absorbed from others.

  • Somatic Awareness

You reconnect with your internal experience as you move through change. Noticing how different possibilities and decisions register in your body can deepen self-awareness and clarify which decisions feel meaningful.

  • IFS-Informed Parts Work

One part of you may be ready for something new while another fears uncertainty or disappointing others. Understanding these tensions can support greater clarity and self-trust.

  • ACT & CBT

We clarify your values, identify thought patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and map out practical steps toward change and decision making, without needing certainty about the outcome.

  • Earth-Based Psychotherapy

Natural cycles of change, growth, loss, and renewal can reflect your own transitions. Rituals involving the elements, natural materials, or the seasons can help you honor endings, release old patterns, and welcome new beginnings.
