Weekly Yoga Classes
MELT - Yin Yoga
This evening class is an opportunity to slow down, be still, and return to your body and breath. You will be connected with yourself, in quiet community. Yin is a meditative, gentle yoga practice in which we access stillness in order to relax the muscles, allowing the deeper connective tissues to release. Poses are held for 3-10 minutes, rather than flowing through them. Props and thoughtful music support our practice. All levels are welcome.
If you’d like to come to a class, reach out and I will send the studio information.
*If a therapy client comes to my yoga class, confidentiality is protected. This means I will treat you like every other class attendee, without identifying you as a therapy client.
It was through dance that I first discovered yoga as a young teen, but it wasn’t until early adulthood that my practice deepened, becoming a spiritual anchor and a meaningful way of relating to myself and the world. When I teach, I draw from my training in breathwork, meditation, yin, restorative yoga, Bhakti, and sound healing as well as my career as a therapist.
My classes reflect my belief in the importance of living the practice of yoga, not just performing asanas (the physical postures of yoga). I find that taking yoga classes is a meaningful way to turn inward, while also being connected with others in community. My hope is to provide a container through which your mind, body, and soul can feel deeply held and nourished. I invite you to bring all parts of you to your practice, to welcome yourself in with love and compassion.
I am your guide, your body is your teacher.
